WE THE DAY is an exhibition by four artists: Tomoko Inagaki, Takuma Uematsu, Takashi Kunitani and Junji Miyazaki.
Taking “THE DAY” as its keyword, the exhibition brings together a video installation by Tomoko Inagaki focusing on people living through a single day as they change within the flow of time and space; Takuma Uematsu’s SCULPTOR’S SNACK, which presents the place itself as sculpture, a space for talking about sculpture while eating popcorn; Takashi Kunitani’s sculptural work Breath History, which has recorded the “breath” of a single day since 2004; and Junji Miyazaki’s interactive installation, in which the figures of visitors who come on the day overlap with footage of a bench in the center’s garden. Each artist records, shapes and presents fragments of time called “a day” as events. We hope you will encounter each of these fragments of “THE DAY” at the venue.
