Project ‘Doors’

This work is an ongoing annual art project begun in 2013.

Each year, I record a performance in which I open a door and enter through it. A different door is selected every year, and the videos are edited together in the same sequence.

Wearing a simple black dress and performing minimal movements allows the action to continue regardless of age or time.

The work quietly reveals the accumulation of time between past and present.

2013 年から始まった毎年行われるプロジェクト。ドアを開けて中に入るシンプルなパフォーマンスをビデオに収める。毎回違うドアが美術関連施設の中から選ばれ、毎年行われる。ただし、2020 年は新柄コロナウィルスの影響により自宅で撮影された。
ドアの映像は１つの映像として編集され繋がれていく。作家は黒いワンピースを着用し、何歳でも演じれるシンプルな動作と撮影方法にしている。作品は過去から現在の時の流れを見せる。
